Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), formerly Saigon, is the capitol city of South Vietnam. It is a boisterous city, with both a modern and a traditional side to it. If you are interested in the Vietnam-war, then there many locations to visit. Besides that, there are remnants of the French colonial past. You will visit the Cu Chi tunnels and Cao Dai holy seat on a daytrip from HCMC. Furthermore, you will explore the Mekong Delta. This green and fertile region is amongst others the 'fruit garden' of Vietnam. You will explore the canals and islands of the region by boat and bicycle.

Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), formerly Saigon, is the capitol of South Vietnam. Starting from this city, you will explore the surrounding region. A daytrip will bring you to the Cu Chi tunnels and Cao Dai temple, close to the Cambodian border. You will also enter the Mekong Delta: the area south of HCMC, where the mighty Mekong river branches out in tens of smaller rivers and eventually reaches the South China Sea.


Day 1

Arrival Ho Chi Min City, transfer to hotel | You will stay at a centrally located hotel. - Want to immerse yourself in the city this evening? Enjoy this optional Foodie Tour!

Day 2

City trip Ho Chi Minh City | On this join in city trip, you will discover historical sites in the city that was formerly called Saigon: the Reunification Palace, Cathedral and Post Office and the War Remnants Museum. - Optionally, explore Saigon with this unique, private signiture-tour.

Day 3

Daytrip to Cao Dai temple and Cu Chi tunnels | On this join-in tour you will visit the Holy Seat of the Cao Dai religion in Tay Ninh. After lunch (included) you will continue to the Cu Chi tunnels, that the Vietnamese constructed during the Vietnam War.

Day 4

Ho Chi Minh City via Mekong Delta to Cantho | A car will bring you from HCMC to Cai be. Get in a local boat to explore the small canals of the green Mekong Delta. After lunch (included) you will explore the island by bycicle. Continue by boat to Vinh Long and by car to Cantho.

Day 5

Cai Rang floating market, backt to HCMC | Board a boat in the early morning to visit the floating market of Cai Rang. Have a look at a local home where noodles are produced. Return to HCMC by car.

Day 6

End of the trip | This trip ends after breakfast.
