About this tour
From Phnom Penh you travel to the east of Cambodia, an area where not many tourists come. First you go looking in the jungle for the elephants the Elephant Valley Project in Mondulkiri. Then you travel to the north, to Kratie. Here you can, with a little luck, spot the Irawaddy dolphins. Finally you travel to Stung Treng. From here you make a trip to the Mekong Falls on the border with Laos.

Where
If you want to see and do more in Cambodia than just the temples of Angkor, then east and northeast of the capital Phnom Penh there are beautiful places with nature. During this trip you will look for elephants in the area of Mondulkiri. Then you travel to Kratie, a place on the Mekong River where with a little luck you can spot dolphins. North of Kratie, right on the border with Laos, is a beautiful area with waterfalls and a sunken forest.
Itinerary
Day 1
Phnom Penh to Mondulkiri | Travel to Sen Monorum (Mondulkiri) by car today. On the way you stop at the Old What Hanchey.
Day 2
Mondulkiri | Elephant Valley Project: Trek through the jungle, spotting elephants.
Day 3
Mondulkiri | Meet the Bunong people today, a small minority in Cambodia.
Day 4
Mondulkiri to Kratie | Today you travel to Kratie. On the way you stop at the Bousra waterfall. In the afternoon you cycle on the island of Koh Trong.
Day 5
Kratie to Stung Treng | From Kratie you travel via Kampi (Irawaddy dolphins) to Stung Treng today.
Day 6
Stung Treng | With a small boat you make a trip to the Sopheakmet Falls and the Sunken forest on the border of Laos.
Day 7
Stung Treng to Siem Reap | Our driver brings you back to Siem Reap today. Or maybe you want to go to Laos..... .
